Applied II: Causal Inference (QTM 521)

Abstract

This is a net-new 3-credit course for Master’s and PhD students on causal inference methodologies, including directed acyclic graphs, causal discovery, potential outcomes, experimentation, selection on observables, interrupted time series, unstructured data, and applications of machine learning related to these topics. Students learn the concepts and mathematics they need to command these techniques, with a particular focus on real-world business applications.
